Hello there iam after sum help i was called by vodaphone on the 27th of jan they said i was due an upgrade. Good news i thought the bloke from voda asked what phone i was looking for (i currently have a gx30) i told him a like the sharp phones and would be interested in the 902. he then said yes we could do a 902 for you for free (i was doing cartwheels). he then told me they were not in stock cause of software recall but would be avalible from the 7th of Feb. i said ill have a look round to see if there waz anthing else i liked. he said he would call me back on monday. monday came and went no call so i called voda back on th 31st spoke to a diffrent bloke he confirmed that the phone would be free i he could put me on a better contract (happy days) he told he they were still not in stock and he would call me on the 7th. well got to yesterday 3.00pm still know call so i rang voda go through to the same bloke talked me through the new contract and said its been ordered it will be delivered tomorrow the 8th so there would need to be someone in the house all day. so i took the day off work i was so excited i couldnt sleep. any today came 3.30pm nothing though id call voda to see whats happening. i was told nothing has been ordered i was furious but they told me i could order one now but it would cost me £100. after a lot more discution i asked for my pak code. i seem to have been lied to be more than 1 member of vodaphone.
sorry for the long story all i want to know if anyone has had a free upgrade to 902 i also need to know what contract your on. need some ammunition for when i complain. many thanks paul

Hi, I called vodafone about getting a new phone as my contract had ended & therefore was hoping that by renewing my contact for another year, they would offer me a good deal. I asked for the 902, but the best they could offer me was a 902 for about £270. Of course, i declined. As for what price plan I am on, I am on 200 anytime. Vodafone are crap at customer services, where as most of the other service providers will give a free upgrade. Vodafone policy is charge existing customers excesive amounts for a new phone/renew contact, just so that the customer can keep their number & so that vodafone does not have to create a new account/phone number/perform admin duties. Whereas if you want a new number vodafone will charge you less, but will have to perform all the admin duties to create a new account. Sounds like they have it all back to front.
I hope that made sence.
