Apologies if this is a duplicate thread, but I searched through here and can't find anything on it....

Here is my question. I have a friend who owns a Sanyo PM8200, we were trying to use bitpim to upload some mp3 ringtones, but can't get it to work. I can download tones, addy book and what not from his phone, but can't get it to update any new ringtones. Does the 8200 support mp3's? If so, how do I get them to upload?

MP3 ringtones do not work with the 8200. QCP is what works...I think?

Thanks Brigrat... Looking through the forums a little more, and doing some searches I found that's actually the case. I have converted them to qcp format, but even with that you can't (as far as I can find) upload them using a data cable. They have to be downloaded using wap or email... I haven't tried either yet, but will give it a shot here soon...

I do have another question though, and I feel really stupid for asking this, but when you access email through the phone, how do you open attachments?

i think i found the issue.

they seem to be saved under:

tools extras/pc synch

and not under the downloads/ringers area.
