do they keep sending me confirmation emails?

It is quite frustrating!

Why do they keep sending my emails telling me it is still backordered?

It is like they are teaseing me. Ha Ha you still can't have it! Ha Ha.

same thing happened to me yesterday. I called and asked and they said it was through allocation and due to be shipped. This morning when I awoke and checked email, there it was, shipped altho it didn't show up shipped on the linked page. I'm now on hold trying to see what's what. Since I ordered overnight delivery, it makes a difference if it was shipped on Thursday(delivery on Friday--today) or shipped on Friday and delivery on Monday. Also the phone msg says that it takes 24 hours to get updated information as to shipped.

don't give up.....

update----the phone "shipped" out at 6:20 AM and after speaking to Fed Ex, it may not really go anywhere until tonight ------- so guess it will be a long weekend for me!

I received "shipped" email yesterday but status on the palm site still says “back ordered” as of now.
Like you said, its gonna be looong weekend!

fedex told me that if it's not marked "saturday delivery" when they pick it up, you can't change that status when it's en route. give it a shot though and more luck to you...!

I ordered mine on 1st Feb as soon as they posted it on website. So, it is $599.

ordered mine on Feb 2 @ 4:53 am and paid $599...+ shipping (overnight was extra)...there's some freebie that comes with it....think it's a weather program or something. Don't forget to get that extra sd card when you receive your phone........

I called in on Wed and mentioned that I did research last week and saw the price for $599, but noticed the price increased ti $699. The rep gave me the $599 price without a problem.

well, guess I can't pick up my treo 650 at Fed Ex office....it's frustrating...it's sitting at the airport in a container and i'll have to wait until Monday.

it's arrived. it feels a bit lighter than the 600 and it seems just a bit smaller..... but the light under the keyboard is much better as is the minor adjustment of the keys. it's charging and i'll have to see how to get things going later. The only surprise was when I installed the battery, it immediately asks for the language and warns that the choice made cannot be changed. Fortunately, it started with the choice "english" so even if I accidentally set it, it would work for me.
