P910a Questions

Ok, I've been browsing around trying to find this information I'm asking for, this isn't the first thing I did. So I have a couple of newb questions, I've read the so called FAQ's on this forum, used google etc. Google either gave me some results or it wasn't all that easy to find, so now I'm here.

1) Where can I download the P910A owners manual, I can't find it on the SE website.

2) Using the update service on the SE website, do I need a syncstation in order to update my phone? I don't have the SyncStation, only a DCU-11 USB data cable. Are there features I can't use because of this?

3) When syncing email, it has created a PC account in my message list, and I also created another account for the phone to check. So essentially I have two accounts, one that is tied with my outlook inbox, and another that is used by the phone to download messages using POP3 from my mail account. How can I sync the two, they're both the same account and I'd like to use them as such. If I don't have my laptop connected, I'd like to use my phone to check email and then later sync that mail with outlook.

4) When reading messages, some messages it takes me to full screen and all I can see is the message text, how do I return from this, all I can do at the moment is close the flip and start over again.

5) I'm having problems with Opera, I've seen suggestions for uninstalling, moving files, marking them read only. Access C:\system etc. Where do I do this? It's not through the file manager, nor can I see anything on my PC while it's connected using the USB data cable.

My appologies if you've seen these before, I've tried to search but I couldn't come up with much based on what I was searching with.

thanks.

I'll do my best to help:

1) User manual:

P910a_UG_R1a_AE.pdf

2) Never performed an update myself, so not sure.

3) I have the same problem, and i don't think there is a solution for this. It's really annoying having to download the same messages over the SLOW GPRS connection, when the PC Sync folder has many of those same messages already downloaded. the logical solution would be to only have ONE inbox folder, not two.

4) Could it be you are reading MMS messages?

5) Not sure what you are asking here... you want to uninstall Opera? You can uninstall it by going to the STORAGE MANAGER. Click on the app you want to remove, and select Uninstall.

Hope at least one of these helps.

Thanks for the help,

The issue with email, was not related to a MMS message. I downloaded a message through POP3, when I click on it to read it, it opens the message in full screen, and all I can see is the text of the message, no menus, no buttons, how do I get back to the navigation? I have to simply close the flip and start all over to get rid of the message and get the menus back.

1) you got it

2) in the package of the P910a you get the sync station, right? Or are you talking about something else.

3) if the account that you use through outlook is the same pop account, why don't you just remove the outlook account and leave the POP one as the only one on the phone. when you are away from your computer, the POP will happen over the air. When the P9 is connected to the laptop, it will actually use the internet connection of the laptop. so either way, all you need is the POP account on your phone and there will be no need to 'sync'

4) two answers. when you are in the full screen message, pull the jog dial towards you and the menu will pop up. push it away from you and it will go to a non-full screen view. the reason it does this is that in your messaging account setup, a checkbox that makes is go full screen got checked. look around, uncheck it and you'll be good to go.

5) yeah, can't help you either. don't understand the question.
