Mp3 on polyphonic

Ive juz got an LG T5100 and it contains an inbuilt mp3 player, but oddly enof it doesnt support mp3 ringtones, onli 40 chord poly ringtones, is there a way to tweak it or adjust it to use an mp3 as the ringtone, or even change the mp3 to watever format polytones are?
