I would take the 650 right now because of ONE reason, EDGE! Being able to stream video at 150 to 200 kb/s with class 10 edge is a big deal to me. You could theoretically stream your entire MP3 collection from home on demand straight to your treo with the right software.

Aside from edge and the keyboard, I think the jam has the 650 beat hands down. I have one, and it's great. You have alot of flexibility with the Pocket PC OS as far as software and the ability to upgrade(for example you can add an SDIO WIFI card--you cannot do that with the 650 at the moment.

They're both great devices with their pluses and minuses. If you were to combine the EDGE/quad-band capabilities and the keyboard of the 650 along with the OS, flexibility of the jam you would have a sure winner. That's why the upcoming HP 6500 mobile messenger is of great interest to me(although it lacks form factor).

I haven't used the mini so I'm not sure how the one hand navigation is, but that would be a major consideration for me. I want to be able to scroll through any app or part of the UI, open menus, etc without ever having to touch the screen or use a stylus. You can do this with the 650, and if you can't with the mini then that would settle it for me. If you can do that with the mini, then the choice would be much tougher for me.
