is there a really good AIM application for the Treo 600 on CIngular? i want to get rid of this unreliable Sidekick II and AIM is a must on my next device...

well I'm a former Sidekick II user but now with Sprint and their Treo 650. I'm using Verichat for AIM and it seems to be working pretty well. It should work well with Cingular.

VeriChat seems to be the most popular to Treo users. I also hear good reviews on Causerie. I have VeriChat on my Treo and love it.

does AIM or any instant message count as SMS or just regular internet usage.

Verichat offers two way to configure.

1. Use SMS
2. Use GPRS

I beleive so, that would be the GPRS set up.

That Verichat looks alot like Trillian does for my desktop computer..... i love the fact that you can have your multiple accounts all in the same program. Very handy
