Snooze function on alerts

On other platforms, including MS Outlook, alerts allow a Snooze function, so you can have an alert come back after a given period of time - 1 hour, 2 hour, .... 4days, whatever. Is there any way to do the same on the Blackberry? I don't always want to just dismiss an alert (birthday notice, reminder to pay a bill or pick up laundry, etc.), nor do I really want to go in an open/change an entry, especially a recurring appointment, to manually change the alert time.

That is a good idea and good request.
It was not until software version 4.0 that Tasks even had alarms so it may be awhile before they institute an snooze. Again I had this on my Palm and it would be helpful on a BB.

Finally I found the software with selectable snooze intervals upon reminder pop up, thanks to John Cody's Alerts!
