*#9999# to check the firmware version. Before discussing flash upgrade, you should know the firmware version. You must push in the key sequence right after power on and you are able to dial the digits.

Your screen is probably broken or the ribbons have become loose. Did you drop it or anything?

When I cracked my screen, it went white and flickered sometimes. So im sure its loose.

Is it a brand new phone from the shops? Or did you buy it "brand new" from some dealer?

If you got it from the shops, it would probably under warranty. If you got it from ebay or something, then buy a Tri-Wing screw driver and open the phone up.

Where did you buy it from? Why didnt you ask for a refund when you knew that it was faulty?

Anyway, when you open up the phone, theres little clips that hold the ribbon cable. I cracked my screen and opened it up without any instructions, so its not that difficult. When you open it up, everything is on the PCB (i.e everything doesnt fall out), its all stuck on one chipboard.

Yeh the screw driver only costs £4 or so. I would check it before buying a new screen or selling it.

so u think that is a screan problem, i think that is a fw problem,
btw what to do if i open the cover ?

I doubt it very much that it is a firmware version. You said that the screen worked and sometimes flickered and then completely went white. This sounds like a dodgy screen or connections.

As for opening the housing. There is a post with text instructions.

ribbon has come loose. Happened to me when I reflowed the solder to fix my headset jack. Takes about 5 minutes if you have the screwdriver.

Posted by: azizi

you know, going screan to whiete was like screanseaver, i'm riding sms msg and 'white' coms in, but don't go out :/
i will take phone today to phone serwis to check what they have to say about it, don't wont to do any damage to it, and i have to look for the screw driver

The x70 doesnt have a screen saver, so your ribbon cable has become loose. The phone service centres like Carphone Warehouse quoted me £80 to fix my cracked screen, so I fixed it myself.

hi, in service they say that the connection LCD - Phone is broken, and they have to replice it
anybody know how much that wires could cost?

Posted by: richie_lee_14

depends if you can trust them, it might just be loose and they might be trying to screw you over for money.

Thats how most of them work.
