Which 1GB SD Card should I buy for the Treo 650?
Any good recommendations?
Does it make a difference when using a faster SD card on the Treo 650 compared to a slower one?

I have no idea whether faster speed would be beneficial w/the Treo 650; but would love to know.
I recently bought two Kingmax Platinum High Speed 66X SD Cards - 1GB a piece. Terrfific price at http://www.newegg.com.
I can't tell you how well they work--Treo gets delivered on Monday!
If someone does know whether the speed matters, it'd be great to know.....

I noticed a difference when using a regular San Disk card verus a San Disk Ultra II card.

So the San Disk Ultra II is worth getting instead of the regular San Disk card?

I personally think so.
It's what I use.

I use a Lexar high speed 1GB 32x SD on my camera to transfer images between my 650, my laptop and my camera.
Surprisngly, the lag time was more apparent transferring to my laptop. When compared to a regular SD card, this one is quicker especially on the writes.

PNY, San Disk Ultra II (must be Ultra II's!), some Lexar, and Panasonic are the best and fastest SD cards. There are others, but I forget them right now.
Essentially, OEM manufacturers Panasonic and Toshiba are by Palm & Garmin owners the fastest downloadint SD cards. Panasonic are ok writing-wise, the Toshibas are downright slow in writing.
As a former Tungsten W user, and a current Garmin iQue 3600 user, I've much experience in the SD card selection department.
Down a free utility called VFSMark and run it on your Treo with SD card installed to test. Any Score over 300 and you're good-to-go, and anything over 400 is great.
HTH!

I just bought the PQI High speed 1gb SD card from NewEgg.com. It rates high and has a good price.

I personally like the SanDisk Ultra II cards, but I also hear good reviews on ATP cards.

One thing I will say--my Kingmax 66 SD Platinum 1GB card works fine; just as fast as I could want. Just wrote 256k in about 1 second.

Kingmax SD Platinum all the way.
This is cheapest high speed card (in Toronto) and IMO the best. Plus, I love this PIP packaging.
Some Sandisk cards are having compatibility issue (Ultra II) in some devices whereas I didn't get any bad feedback on Kingmax Platinum cards.
Just make sure that you don't buy MMC instead of SD.
In Toronto 1Gby SD goes ~$105CAD.
