I know the Treo cannot multitask like a pocket pc phone or a Blackberry, but I was wondering how it handles procedures that are normally done through multitasking such as the following:

1) You are viewing a website, and there is a link to an email address, so normally you would click on the email address, a "compose email" window would open, allow you to write and send an email, and after you send the email, you could continue your web browsing.

2) Just the opposite of #1, you open an email, or someone sends you an Instant Message with a link. You click on the link and it opens the webpage for you to view.

3) You are browsing the web, and there is a link to streaming audio. You click the link and it opens the realplayer and plays the audio. Then when you are done, you close the realplayer and continue browsing.

How are these situations handled on the Treo 650 since it cannot multitask??

I have a Treo 600 and It can do all that you have listed above...

1) When I am browsing pages and an email address comes up and I click on it, my default mail app comes up ready to send an email. Once I am done though I have to go back into the browser. The OS does not automaticaly go back to Blazer.

2) I have done this several times, this also works in VeriChar if someone IMs you a link.

3) I have opened streaming audio radio stations with Pocket Tunes (shoutcase) but never with Real Player. Though while I am listening I can continue using my Blazer or any other Palm app. Though it will slow down because of the music in the backround.

The Palm OS has a limited Multitasking eviroment.

When you go back to Blazer, does it remember the page that you were on or do you have to navagate there again and load the page again?

there is a selection in "preferences" that you select so you will go back to the last viewed page.
