Sam it will not use Symbian... It will use the new proprietary Operating system of Panasonic, like ALL the other new models except the X800.

Panasonic will have only 2 Symbian phones this year. X700 and X800.

No Wi Fi of course.

I'm hoping for Bluetooth...

Word that I have heard since my post was that these mobiles are being developed by third party contract manufacturing like the G51/G60/G70 etc and only the X800 is the only true Panasonic designed phone.

These models are based on Panasonic's previous domestic models in Japan...

Exactly...

I believe that now we have to change our way of thinking about Panasonic. All the new models will come from Japan with all the positive and negative things it has...

For example, Panasonic phones in Japan don't have Bluetooth (as far as I know, if I'm wrong correct me)... so I'm asuming that nor these phones will feature this so important technology...

Yep.. looks very similar to the Japanese models. To me, it looks most like the P900i provided by DoCoMo:

by golly, kaizoku-san, you're right! it looks just like the P900i. if it's on the same platform, it'll have the inwards CMOS sensor (is the VS7 3G?) as well? as well as AF? and a Square Enix Final Fantasy game? we all should be so lucky.

/starting to have candybar lunches now to help save some money for my new phone.
//not kidding.

Does anyone know when this phone is expected to be released?

Posted by: The Joker

My Editor went to Cannes and saw them from really close.

The VS7, the P342i (new i-mode model), tha X800 and the VS9 (which is the Z800 3G phone) will HAVE BLUETOOTH...

Thank God... I really like the VS7 and the VS9... which one to buy? Both perhaps....

it looks exactly the same as X800

i got blown away by its 16M TFT , and 2 mp camera and making it smaller and lighter than mitsubishi m900, sony v800, etc..

I think it's gonna cost us a fortune..
