does anyone have the data cable pinout for the Kyocera slider se47 or LG 1200, c1300, vi5225, vx4500, vx4600, vx6000? They should all be the same I think. Thanks

hmmm off the top of my head, usb 1 is pos., usb3 is ground, 2 and 4 are data, i believe 2 is rx, 4 is tx
but i may be way off..in any case, the data cable is wired first to the chip which then has its own pinouts

dunno if that helps, but you can look up usb pinouts and figure it out from there once you take a part the cable...

well, it's kinda funny what I'm doing. I bought a virgin mobile audiovox 8610 for my little brother for his b-day. We read that you can hack it's programming and add ringtones but you need a cable. Many posts say a slider cable or LG VX6000 cable will work. So we found a cable but the computer doesn't even recognize that a device is attached. so me being an engineering student figured I could modify it to work if I have the proper pin diagram for the data cable of an 8610, slider, 6000, or 5450. They should all be the same. Yeah, try finding a reliable pinout on the net. Only found one and it doesn't match what our cable's wires are. So either my cable is defective, or the pinout is wrong. The cable may be bad cuz I can see where one pin has solder on it but no wire, like someone made a mistake or something. I don't really want to fry his phone. If someone will open up their data cables and figure out what wires go to what pin, at least I can verify if mine is ok. If I could cross reference a slider with an LG VX6000, I would be very happy to verify they are the same. Since I have neither of these phones, I'm relying on someone else to take the plunge. If our wire does match up to a slider and a 6000, then little bro is outta luck. Thanks for any info.
