Okay, so I'm sitting here testing out my newly purchased ptunes with shoutcast. It's all cool, hundreds of radio stations for me to listen to, all for free! BUT- as I'm listening I notice that every 5-30 seconds the music pauses & it says "buffering". Is there any way to get it to NOT do this? It's really annoying. I'm not dumb(though I'm sure I often sound that way, lol), I've just never used shoutcast before & I don't know if this is the way it's supposed to work or what. I was IMing while using it, could that be the problem? Spank you to anyone who offers some info...

Try a lower bitrate (24/32/etc). Check out treobits.com for a list of Treo friendly stations.

If you want Treo friendly Shoutcast sites check out TreoBits Mobile It's a site you can open up in Blazer and it'll give you links to Treo friendly Shoutcast Sites.

thanks guys, the stations on the treobits site come in loud & clear with no blips. its a huge difference. there's a Russian station too, woohoo! I swear, this phone is so cool, I love it more every day.

how would I go about changing the bitrate in regular shoutcast stations?
