I have a Treo 650 and everytime I go into my versamail it resets my treo. I tried to remove it from my phone but its not there....but the icon is still up. What should I do to get it running again?

Versamail is installed in the ROM on the device and it cannot be removed. What third party apps do you have install on your Treo? My guess is that one of them is interfering with Versamail. If it was me, I'd remove the last couple of apps you installed to see if that was it. If that fails, then I'd hard reset and start over fresh. It's always a good idea to install one app at a time so you know which one causes the problem, if one arises.

just got my pride and joy in the mail. Trying to set up email. I'm an aol guy..........there is no selection for aol on the menu to get this process started.........am I missing something?

I think you need the incoming and outgoing server addresses to your account.

where do I find those?

I suggest you put in their help search box, "What are the aol mail server settings."

For example comcast is,
Outgoing mail (SMTP): smtp.comcast.net
Incoming mail (POP3): mail.comcast.net

Hello igoti4cheap,

This is Kevin from palmOne. Quake 97 makes a good point about third party apps sometimes causing instabilities. However, I would also direct you and anyone else experiencing this issue to the palmOne Knowledge Library article "VersaMail crashes or resets Treo 650" here.
It may be that one of the VersaMail databases has become corrupt.

Hope that helps.

Sincerely
Kevin
