PalmOne Treo650 cannot be ordered via 800 #?

It is 16:07 PST. I decided to get an unlocked Treo 650. I had tried to call PalmOne before and I got on hold for more than 20 minutes each time. As a result, I never did talk to a Sales person. In the mean time, the price went up by $100.00. I was so mad that I decided to look for another device. I could get a Cingular Treo650 at a discount but it would be locked. Since I am not sure if I can get it unlocked I decided to give it a try and called PalmOne again. I have some questions that I need to talk to a live person and if I can get it for the original listed price, I would get it.

Guess What? I dialed the 1800-881-7256 and followed the direction. When I opt for Tre650 unlock GSM/CDMA, the answering machine said to check with the PalmOne website for latest updates. It seems that PalmOne is no longer taking phone orders for unlock GSM Treo650.

try one of the other options. when someone gets one the line they will take your order. I just took my 650 ou of the box 5 minutes ago from the order I placed last Wed this way

Thanks! I used the other options and got to a live person. I had to pay $700 for mine though. I did get a free Jabra Bluetooth headset. So I thought it was not too bad a deal.
