I just started a new job and inheritted a BB 7100t, while I'm pretty good with comptuers and PDA"s, I'm honestly illiterate when it comes to Blackberries as this is my first. (I also don't want ot screw too much up since I've only been on the job 2 days!)

Anyways, a few questions...

The BB is configured with my work email which happens to be Lotus Notes 6.5. At home I'm using Outlook (POP3 acount).... Is it possible for me to connect it to both PC's so that I can continue to use Notes as my primary email application but at least connect to my home PC and import the address book so I don't have to manually enter my list of contacts? (I can install the Desktop Software on both PC's if thts what it takes...)

Using the Webmail client I figured out how to get my home email to work as well, is there a way to have that mail sent to a differnet view so I can tell at a glance what is my work email and what is my home email?

Thanks in advance! (Sorry of these were asked before, but I did try searching but came up with nothing..)

if you dont mind both contact lists being merged into 1 big contact list (thats what will happen) then heres what you need to do:

Assuming that your work email comes via corporate server (prob Lotus Domino if you're using lotus notes), and your company is using a BES as it sounds like they are, and everything already works on your work address and syncing at work, you'd need to set up the desktop manager on your home computer.

when doing so, make sure that you choose "WebClient email" (or Internet email) when setting up the desktop manager on your home computer instead of Blackberry Enterprise Server/Desktop redirector otherwise you'll screw up email delivery for your corporate email.

next, set up the webclient for your home email address (which you mentioned was pop3). Now you'll be able to sync at both computers (with 1 big address book/calendar/etc) and get delivery from multiple addresses.

when using both a BES and a webclient for different addresses you can also respond and compose from either address. To do so, scroll to the top of any outgoing message and check if its sending using "Desktop" (work email) or "WebClient" (home email)

this is how i have my BB 7100t setup and i havent had any problems

PM me if you have any more questions
