Anyone have DUN working on unlocked Treo 650?

So I haven't had any luck getting DUN working on the unlocked GSM Treo 650. The devices pair fine and the Treo goes into DUN mode just fine. But there's always a connect failure to the network. I can get pretty much every phone on the planet working for BT DUN but not the Treo 650.
I've tried with Cingular, T-Mo and AT&T (yes, I have all those SIMs!). My personal goal is getting AT&T working since they're my own carrier (other SIMs are for testing and reviewing).
I've tried using the standard init string in palmOne's GSM DUN pdf: AT+CGDCONT=1, "ip", "proxy" (proxy is AT&T's APN) and I've tried leaving that init string out. And I've tried using a manual terminal windows to enter that string (some devices like the Moto MPx220 only work when you use the terminal window for init and dialing if the client is a Pocket PC). I have tried dialing *99#, *99***1# and **99***1#. No joy using notebook PCs or Pocket PCs.
Anyone have a working setup?

Never mind, got it. Pretty easy for a PC. Challenging when a Pocket PC is using the Treo as a BT modem but it works using a terminal window to send the commands.

Would you mind terribly doing a brief writeup of what you eventually had to do to get it to work? If my &*#@ 650 ever gets out of shipping I would like to use the DUN capability as well.

This PDF should give you exactly what you need:

DUN is now working perfectly on my Cingular Blue T650.

Thanks for the link!
Wait a minute.. DUN is on for Cingular 650s? I thought they had that disabled?

This is supposed to work.
I have not tried myself however.

There is a patch from Shadowmite that enables DUN on the Cingular phones. However, it is not on the page referenced by alsam above - the ROM images on that page are only for Sprint phones and if applied to a Cingular phone will render it unusable. So please DON'T apply any of those patches to a GSM Treo.
The patch for DUN on GSM Treos is at the very bottom of this page:

It's a bit of a pain to get it installed correctly, but once you've done so, the DUN does work properly on the Cingular phones.
