Is there a yahoo messanger for the pal os that doesnt need a data connection, but uses text messages?
There was a version like this on my lg vx 6000.

Verichat can be configured to use SMS messaging only.

I thought it uses SMS only when in standby mode but data when in an active chat. Was I wrong on that?

It was my understanding that standby mode could use either data or SMS but once you were in the application it was data. With unlimited Vision and unlimited SMS I never really cared though so who knows.
