7510 software upgrade

does anyone know how to upgrade the software on a 7510 to the 4.0 software without using the desktop software? for some reason, my desktop software will not install onto my computer. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks.

Not possible - sorry. The only way to update the BBs software is via desktop manager.

Install the software on a different (friend maybe?) computer, upgrade the software, then uninstall.

or a work computer? laptop? Many possibilities!
do you get an error when you try to install it on your computer? there could be a DLL issue, what version of windows are you running?

Yes, I should have asked what kind of error message you are receiving, and when, you install the RIM software.

also list your OS version and desktop version as well as any errors you encounter.
Maybe also try to run windows update and reboot and then install.
