I cant see any files on the hand set manager software, the phone pairs and confirms connection, but the software on my lap top says Trying to connect to Hanset. I am using a USB bluetooth dongle and that picks up the phone tried changiing the id of the phone and it definatley changes on the lap top......so they are speaking to each other but i cant transfer or see any files.....any ideas?
thanx in advance

Check two things:

1. Make sure the com port in the software is the same as the serial port for your bluetooth connection. It's in the settings in the software somewhere.

2. Make sure that the phone is in software connection mode:
Settings->Connectivity->PC Software->Bluetooth.

Hope that helps...

Had to join the forum to say thx for this advice!

The handset manager defaults to COM 32 (why!!!?>???!) even though the devices are paired and you can send files from PC to phone you cannot send phone files to PC or access the phone using the Handset Manager software - plus there is NO info in the Handset Manager 'help' (?) files.

Anyway, goto interface setup (middle pulldown icon, top left) and make sure the com port is the same as your outgoing com port (per control panel - bluetooth devices).

Sorry if this is a bit too basic, but I spent &^%$ ages trying to work this out & hope this advice helps.
