I really like the fact that the treo gives you the option after ending a call to save it to the contacts. If it is a new contact each time it is very easy.... Here's the doosy... Try adding the new number to an existing contact with out jumping through hoops ????? Anyone find an easier way.

Just go to the call log, click Details on the call, click Copy Phone #. Then go to the existing contact and paste the number. That's the best way I know.

Copy and paste as mentioned above or just edit the number manually in the contact details > edit mode. It's only like 10 digits to enter or edit.
