Need export of REGISTRY from SMT 5600

I'm trying to get something working on the MPx220 and I'm betting by changing the REG, it will work. Can someone export the complete REG please?

I should be able to do this for you tonight when I get home from work.

If you can't upload to here,Can you also sent me one. Thanks!

you may want to scan through it with notepad just to make sure you don't have any personal info or software registration info in there.

There are some significant differences between the Audiovox and MPx220 which are because of REG only. I want to compare the two and see not only what's different, but see if I can finally fix the JAVA install issue and add real T9 (and not iTap).

Thanks...

Thanks for the tip as I do have personal info stored and some registered apps. I will probably just send you a PM with a link as the whole world doesn’t need to see my exported reg.

I think Midnight over at Modaco is also working on T9 on the MPx220.

He has a 5600 ROM backup so if you need files he should have them. I've had problems getting certain DLLs and EXEs off the phone.

While I have both phones and thought of doing a file compare it seems like a LOT of work. Could be very interesting!

Not really reg related but....
I took IA_Task_Manager (SMT5600) and put it on my MPx220 (Assigned to the home key) it works great except it doesn't recognize some apps that are open on the 220.

They have different installed applications. HTC (5600) used program from IA while Moto used other 3rd party apps.

Caller ID
Photo Contact
Camera
Send Mail
Task Manager
File Manager

Are just a few of the apps that are different.

I'll send you a PM with the link right after I post this.

So I don't have to do this twice here are any edits I made to the reg file.

Line 3965 - Changed Value
Line 4381-4396 - Deleted (CodeWallet Keys)
Line 4515 - Changed Value
Line 4902 - Changed Value
Line 4905 - Changed Value
Line 4942 - Changed Value
Line 4959 - Changed Value

cool. thanks. After I read through the whole reg (yah, I actually read all that crap manually before I left the software do the work) I'll get ahold of Midnight and see if I can get the T9 files I need. I posted this same request at Modaco and a couple newbies assume I want their software registration numbers or there ActiveSync name for their phone. It's not worth the hassle.

Some people don't understand the difference between hacking for good vs. hacking for evil. It's not like I have 1 post to my name and joined yesterday...

Thanks again,

-K

p.s. I am trying to get ahold of the unbranded FW so I can see if I can fingure out why Cingular's right soft key is for contacts and the unbranded is for camera (which is pretty dumb when you think about it).

Thanks You jleecong!! Also in your SMT5600 Why don't you put ( You Have Mail.wav) in your Storage Card? It save your phone memory.

LOL

Most "GOOD" data isn't stored in the registry anymore.

I figured worst you could do would be to get into my pop account but I changed the password just in case.

It was Pual over at Modaco that I talked with. Just PM him and tell him whats going on.

Sorry my MPx220 is Cingular FW1.3.

It is by choice.

I have mail and movies stored on the storage card. You can see in my reg the last movie I watched .

Ringtones and sounds I put on the phone memory.

The funny thing is, looking for any info that was personal never crossed my mind. After so many years in the PC industry and taking over people's PC and data all the time, I'm kinda numb when it comes to personal stuff.

Personally, I'm glad you did change it because had something happened, I'd bethe first to blame!

After I check a couple more things, I'll shoot a message to Paul. He may even have this figured out by now. He's pretty sharp.

Thanks again,

-K
