Hi,

I was wondering how to change the faceplate on an Audiovox 8910? I have two new ones I want to try but can't figure out how to attach them. Thanks.

With your phone open, you will notice two rubber bumpers at the top and two silver circular stickers at the bottom of the display. Under those are tiny phillips screws that can be removed with a jewlers screw driver which will allow you to remove the face plate and install your new one in its place.

I might note, be careful and put the screws and bumpers/stickers in something like a 35mm film canister as they can be easily lost due to their size.

Just a side note:

Make sure and take your time putting the screws back in. They can crossthread very easily and your screwed then.

Also, put the bumpers back on, and if the stickers won't go back on, find something to put over the two screw holes.

Exactly how you do it. I've changed mine and my friends sucessfully by doing those exact instructions....next time you have a questian about the 8910, post in the official 8910 info thread
