Using 5600 to connect laptop to internet

Hi
(1) Has anyone tried using the communication manager software from ATT wireless to connect their laptops to internet through the SMT5600? What was your experience?
(2) Can I use my unlimited mmode data plan (24.99) for this phone tethering service?
Any other suggestions or your experiences would be welcome

i have a similar question. if you don't have any mMode plan but just want o use the internet and your phone like a dial up connection, is this possible without getting charged for GPRS?
