I finally decided to give an MS Smartphone a shot after using every other type of smartphone. But one thing I havent been able to figure out. I did a search and came back with nothing....

Is there any way to organize the contacts list by first name instead of last?

The is a field called "File As". It can either be set to last, first or first last. it sorts contacts according to the file-as setting for each contact.

ahh. that works. thanks. but is there anyway to set it to first name then last by default?

You can set it in Outlook so that new contacts are filed first then last, but I couldn't figure out how to do it to exisiting contacts, ended up doing in manually.
