SMS Blocked

I have been contacted by a friend recently who says their company has blocked all of the company's mobile phones (which are all in a number range and on contract with the company) from sending and receiving sms messages

I (guessed) that if they changed their message centre number they might be able to get round the blocking (I imagined that the company had just blocked all phones from accessing their message centre number)... bearing in mind I know very little about these things, I doubt that is how they block it

Is that going to work do we think? Or is there no way round the block?

Thanks
Jim

Hi there.

You can try these centre numbers:

+44-7785016005
+44-7958879890

Thanks for that, will see if that works!

does the centre number have to be from the same network? The 2nd number is T-mobile

Is it a good idea though. If the company wants to block the messages, there's not much chance of talking your way out when they discover.

I read elsewhere of two people attempting to get free messages with an unauthorised centre number; blocked all messages; needed a new sim

I've tried sending SMS from my German E-Plus SIM card using Vodafone D2 and T-Mobile Germany's SMS service center numbers. These didn't work so it's a hit and miss situation.
