i dont know if this is the right category. i do know i am going insane. nowhere on the internet tells me how to unlock an o2 x3 aka benq s700. please please help!!!!!

I thought the phone was already unlocked by the manufacturer.
hmmm... if u're in the GTA area.. try going to bongo wireless and see if they can unlock it for u .

most phones released in Asia are never locked.

that's what i think too... most phones bought within asia are always unlocked (i mean 99.9% of the time) ... but anyways.. if u seem to have purchased a locked one... go to the site I've mentioned before, maybe they can help u or something..
if not..maybe u can put on the forum and try selling it.. what do u think about the camera quality on the BenQ S700??? because i found it very disappointing compared to that of my Nokia 7610 . 1.0mp camera phone

i am in england and it is definitely locked!!!. this phone has been out since august, but NOONE on the whole internet can unlock it i have searched and posted for hours. o2 can unlock it but only after 12 months and no shops can unlock it either, i dont understand it at all! regarding the camera, it just looks like a vga one but its so jerky when you take the picture its infuriating, my nokia 7600 took much clearer pictures. also you have to buy extra to make the mp3 player work and the infrared only works one way-but..its a lovely small phone with a lot of features for the price, £180 uk (i got it for 100 brand new after a lot of searching, well worth it!!) if anyone knows anyone who can unlock this phone especially remote i will pay if its in uk-thanks!

I planned to purchase XDA IIs from UK, before I know UK version is locked. Therefore I got mine from HK (still O2 brand). If I live in UK I don't mine purchase a locked one, since it's nice to get such a funtional PPC phone at low price.
