Hey, I want a different headset for my phone, as in a regular 3.5mm headset, and I tried using an adaptor but only got sound out of one ear, I know i could just use a mono headset, but is there any other way to get stareo sound out of a regular headset? thanks

No, I don't think so. I think all phones, unless specifically labeled as Stereo, are all half duplex.

Basically, half duplex is mono, and full duplex is stereo.

but.. I get stereo right now, with the stock headphones..

As long as your phone has stereo (if it plays MP3, it must be stereo) there should be adapter for use with regular 3.5mm stereo headphones.

But it depends on what phone you have and different phone may require different adapter.

What is your phone?

I don't think this is totally true. My V710, Audio 9900 and LG7000 can play MP3's, but only one is Stereo; the 710.

I am guessing that your talking about your 8940, right?

yeah..

Radio Shack sells adaptors. I got this one.
The problem is with the rubber plug on the 8940. It kind of forces the plug to kick out and not stay all the way in connected. Plus, when it does stay in, it's only mono sound and not stereo. What's the catch with the included headset, with the microphone connection? You know what I'm talking about, with the 3 seperate connections on the plug, rather than two (both for audio).
