I have a WiFi at home, get the connection but when trying to use anything like IE the GPRS will attempt to connect. What do I need to do?

It means your WiFi is not configured properly.

Duh, I figured that out myself.

Went through the manual, sitting next to AP, connected, went to IE and GPRS attempts to connect.

by default your wireless card should override the GPRS when it is enabled.....you could have a bad wireless card or connection.....

did you purchase the internet service from cingular as well.....

To see if your WiFi is configured correctly, tap the WiFi antenna icon on the bottom right of the screen. That will bring up Wireless LAN Manager. The "Wireless LAN ON" box should be checked. The "Current Configuration" box should show all the detail for the network you are connected to.

If it doesn't, go to Tools, Network Cards. select All Available in Networks to access, and check the Automatically connect... box.

If that doesn't do it, you'll have to do some more troubleshooting.

If it is configured right and connected to the WiFi network, the sx66 should prefer WiFi over GPRS.

I noticed that some times WiFi on SX66 is unable to connect to network cause WiFi router is unable to assign IP address to SX66. The quickest solution to this is that you should assign an IP of local network yourself to SX66, enter the mask details and the router internal gateway IP. I am sure your problem will get resolved.

Same thing happens on my MPx.
Go to setting\connections\network card.
Make sure the drop down reads connects me to the internet.
When hot syncing over WiFi, make sure it reads, connects me to work. (otherwise it won't sync if left on internet)

Wirelessly posted (MOT-MPx/2.0417.0409 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows CE; PPC; 240x320))

ALSO ON MY MPX I HAVE TO TURN OFF GSM IN ORDER TO GET WIFI TO WORK PROPERLY

Does the SX66 WiFi work on WLANs running AES CCMP encryption?

This is a bummer but thanks so much!

If WiFi is not working on SX66,

Try the following on tiacxwln adapter:

Set to Use specific IP address

Set loacl IP address expected to be set by router

Enter subnet mask as used on router

Enter default gateway IP of router

On Name Server:

set DNS and Alt DNS as used on router.

and try to connect WiFi and browse again.

AES could be written into the next version of the driver...
