wow , after i upgraded my 7230 to 4.0, i can now recieve emails with pictures attached. You can save them, rotate them and even use them as a home or standby screen. I dont have BES running just the webclient, way to go finally

I had heard TMO was upgrading in waves across their network and that they were to be completed by now but I do not have those menu items nor do they appear when I receive pics in my email....

Most BlackBerryOS 4.0 users (Nextel, Rogers, T-Mobile, Cingular, etc) seem to now have the ability to open image attachments. This is good news!

It's true that the upgrades doesn't seem to have been fully completed yet.

It may help to get the service books retransmitted
(Desktop PC -> www.t-mobile.com/bwc -> Profiles -> Send Service Book)
And your BlackBerry re-registered
(BlackBerry -> Options -> Host Routing Tables -> Register Now)

Where does this functionality appear? In the menu? Do you scroll to the end of the message and next to the attached image to select?

jeff, the image comes in as a regular "[attachment]". Just scroll to it and open it as you would an Excel/Word doc and it'll open right up.

I upgraded my dad's to 4.0 and still could not view pic attachments.

I did not however update the desktop software. Is there something I am missing?

It was my first time playing with a BB but now my Nextel unit should be here tomorrow.

I'm in Des Moines, IA and mine works fine. Has since I upgraded to 4.0 two weeks ago.
