Need help finding a GREAT leather case for a BB 7520...

I'm hoping that all my fellow Blackberry users can give me a big hand here. I'm looking for a high-quality leather case for my Blackberry 7520, but I'm very specific about what I like in a case, and I haven't found one yet that's exactly what I'm looking for. In order that others will understand what I'm looking for, I'll post more info:
  1. I want a case made out of black leather. No "pleather", no nylon... just leather. Straight off a cow or other dead animal. Nothing else protects a cell phone (or other electronics device) quite like real leather.
  2. It needs to have a nice, secure FLAP closure to hold the BB in it. Therefore, the open-top pouches that RIM makes won't work for me. I'm not risking my expensive PDA phone slipping out, hitting the ground, and getting damaged. The flap needs to cover as much of the phone as possible, to offer as much protection as possible to the device.
  3. It should have the built-in magnet for the "sleeper" function, so that the screen will be shut down when in the case to conserve power.
Although I've found 3 cases that come close, they all fall short in at least one area.

Right now, I'm using the Nextel-exclusive pouch for the BB 6510/7510/7520:

It's got a full-coverage, velcro-closing flap. It's got the "sleeper" magnet. But it's made of nylon, not leather, so it's not quite as good. The nylon will eventually start showing a lot of wear and tear.

The first leather one I'm considering is the Bytech leather Blackberry pouch:

Nice case, has the "sleeper" magnet, and a swiveling, leather-wrapped metal belt clip, but instead of a flap, it has a strap. The strap closes with magnets... good, but not as good as the more secure magnetic snaps used on some cases. So it's close, but not quite there.

The 2nd one I'm considering is the Krusell "Horizontic" case:

VERY nice case, fits horizontally on the belt, using either a detachable belt clip or built-in "slots" to pass the belt through. It's got a full flap, which closes securely with a magnetic snap closure. BUT... it apparently lacks the sleeper function.

So, that's where I'm at. If I could get the Krusell case WITH the sleeper function, or the Bytech case with a full flap, that'd be ideal.

Does anyone know of a case that has ALL the features I'm looking for? If so, please post a link to where I can buy one. Thanks.

the bytech case is the way to go. Nice look, professional. magnetic closure plus clip.

I know using a case is a personal choice for all to decide, but I hate them. I need a case to hold my BB on my belt, but when I need to use it, I prefer it to be naked!

Try this one...http://tuff-as-nuts.com/blackberry-holsters.html .. It is rather expensive but has a number of different options. I think it will meet all your requirements....

I have it with the tab closure (the only one that will work with the 7520's antenna) and the belt loops.... and am extremely satisfied with it....

BTW is ships directly from New Zealand so it takes about a week to arrive.....

I have just the basic leather case from RIM that is sold on Nextel's site and loved it for my 7510. Since the 7520 is ever so slightly fatter it is a wrestling match to get it in and out and I went back to the the free case one could get from RIM when I purchased my 7510. It is a simple pleather pouch that is more expandable and it goes in and out easier.

I have that big ruggedized nylon pouch too which is great when doing heavy demolition. It is RUGGED!

Interesting... I'll take a look, but coming from NZ, I don't know what the pricing'll be like.

I also found out why the Krusell case lacks the "sleeper" magnet. By going to Krusell's website, I found out that they intended that model to be a generic case for many different PDA phones, so it wasn't designed specifically with the Blackberry in mind. I thought about emailing them about having one custom-made, but since they're in Sweden, that might be too costly.

At this point, it's looking like the Bytech case is gonna be the closest to what I want.

Thanks again for the info, guys.

The price quoted on the website is the US dollar price ($59 w/ belt loop and tab top) and shipping is $10...
