Blackberry.com server is down and emails are not being sent. Also you can't log on the wireless web account. Anyone else here experiencing the same?

Go an email from Dave at Mobileweb4u.com:

"Hey everyone just thought I would let you know the BlackBerry SRP server at RIM is currently down.
Nothing I can do about this, but email is still being delivered to the Exchange servers and to your accounts.
Be patient while they fix this."

So RIM is working on it.

yep its actually been kinda shaky all day, on and off, so hopefully they will get it resolved, infact i know they will!

This is the first outage I've seen in a really long time so it's acceptable...shi* happens. The fact that their entire website is down is what's worrying me more because it points to a major infrastructure failure/issue.

Hopefully it'll be fixed by the morning.

Its never a good sign when their main domain is down. Maybe Waterloo Ontario blew up?

Must be coming up for certian areas or carriers....

Not up for Cingular in Tennessee....

went down at around 4:30 PST in southern california, still down. Cingular says they know about it, but I think cingular thinks its a problem with their equipment.

looks like cingular in southern california just popped back up at 8:27 local time

Cingular in TN is back around 10:30 CST. Sure would like to know what happened.

the weird thing is that i was not able to use any data services at all. when I tried to use the cingular browser nothing happened. does the cingular browser need to go through the blackberry servers to work. My guess is no, so now I am wondering if cingular went down at the same time, with their own problems.

It's possible but for me...duriing the outage my Cingular browser worked like a champ.

When I noticed that my Cingular (blue) 7290 wasn't getting email or browsing we discovered that my co-workers T-Mobile & Nextel BBs were also not working. The only common thread was that we were all working through the same BES. My BB spontaniously turned it's radio off twice as well - I've never seen it do that before so I have no idea whether or not it was related. (Seattle)
