Hello Everyone,

I was trying to delete some pictures from my phone using Bitpim and now my phone won't go pass the Verizon Wireless screen. After the verizon wireless screen it give me an error and then reboots. The error is "uixcm.c 00466" Anyone has any ideas?? I took it over to verizon store and they told me they can't even save my phone book because the phone is not booting up.

Thanks

Sorry, but if you had first read the BitPIM web page you would have seen that the 8900 is a no-no with BitPIM.

I quote: "The internal software in this phone is far too fragile and shoddy. There is a very real risk of locking up the phone so badly it won't reboot and has to be replaced through trivial operations.

Consequently this phone is not supported by BitPim and you should not use it with BitPim even if it appears to work. You should not report any issues with this phone and we will not respond to support requests other than by pointing to this page. "

Looks like you have a nice paperweight, unless you can convince VZW to replace it.

Bitpim

PS: Try not to mess up your new A670

Why were you trying to delete with Bitpim? Typically, as long as you use Bitpim as a 'read only' tool, you should have no problems. I would never use it to attempt to delete a file.

The reason i was trying to use bitpim to delete was because the picture was already deleted from my phone but it was still showing up in bitpim. Brewsky was not showing all the pictures which were in my phone. So tried to delete the pictures from bitpim which were already deleted but still showed up in database somehow... Makes sense?? well it didnt make ne sense to me.. lol
