Originally posted by Celladictive First.. you can make a back up all your ringtones. Well, correction.. only ringtones that you have added! Not ones used with get it now!! So that was misleading. As far as actually using the cable.. Example.. taking a pix from the comptuer and transfering to the phone.. Can't tell you.. any time I try to do something the software responds.. ERROR. MEMORY FULL! And I know my memory on my phone is not full, because I can send pix and txt messages, with no problems. Plus I get an error upon bootup. So I'll be calling them first thing today! |

Originally posted by Stina I have the same program and I have no problem with sending pictures to myself as well as mp3 ringtones. Dont even bother calling that company or sending e-mails, their customer service is horrible.

Originally posted by Stina DataPilot? Yeah I got mine about a week or so ago. I have no problems at all. At first it didnt recognize my phone, but all I needed to do it turn the phone off and turn it on again. Simple. Other than that, no problems at all. I love using it! It DOES support mp3 rintones because I have put a ton on my phone and no problems. All you have to do is find another program that cuts them. No big deal.

Originally posted by gaynor470 Has anyone delt with this company, selling the LG 8000 cable and software, on ebay? The guy offered to sell direct, at $15.99, and $9.99 first class shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...=ADME:B:WN:US:1 At least they have somewhat of a legimate price, and more reasonable shipping. |

Originally posted by Celladictive Well, they don't listen... I told them I was shipping it back to them on Monday. After screeming my head off at them, they finally responded to my email, asking me the same questions that I've already answered to them. I'm waiting until monday to see if I hear from them, but I work 10 hours, so I'll most likely miss any call from them. This company really needs to work on their customer service and customer relations. I'm going to give them until Wednesday to get t his issue fixed! I finally got it to detect the phone, but I still get the memory full errors and the error with pconfig at bootup. |

Originally posted by j0kee Most of the cables are the same. Just 4 straight wires connect USB port and the phone. No chips inside. So you can just buy it from ebay for 0.99 + 6.99 S/H. Then trash the CD coming with cable and use LG's official driver. Those who sell it over 10$ just rip you off. |

Originally posted by gaynor470 See Above. The link posted above has the VX800 driver, and a link to BitPim's latest version. The vendor has a cable and CD on ebay; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...5765586380&rd=1 ... |

Originally posted by gaynor470 Mine is working fine, when the "charge indicator" is down to, two bars, takes about one hour to charge up. Data transfer no problem with Bitpim. I thought this thread had died, and all problem were solved.
