I'm using a data cable and bit pim to try and upload ringtones to my PM8200 phone but i keep getting this msg saying that the phone can't manipulate my phone book when i'm not even dealing with the phonebook, then my phone will restart it's self. Also i've noticed the two ringtones i've downloaded directly from sprint are QCP files how do i convert files to QCP, i've looked around and none of the programs i've got seem to work. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Out of curiosity, what file type are the ringtones that you're trying to upload?

You might also find this page helpful (even though it doesn't deal exactly with your phone) it has good information on the process of conversion on it.

I've been having problems with getting ringtones to upload to the PM8200 (a friends phone) also, but as of yet haven't been able to figure it out. If you come up with the way to make it work please share...
