there is a box type thing in the midle of my usb cable cord and i tried to get on bitpim with it yesterday but this box popped up and said something to the affect that it wont work.

do your cords havt that box? i bought it off of ebay for 95 cents with 6.99 s&h. im wondering if i bought the wrong one. i have the 8000 and it fits my phone fine but the phone starts charging as if it were the charge cable.

any ideas????

and another thing... if i were to call cs would they know anything about uploading stuff on the phone?

i bought the same for my 6190. it works for data and such but doesn't charge

. I had to use the drivers that came with the cord as none of the other drivers would work.

I have the same cable for my VX7000 with the "box" in the middle. If you are using any Future Dial product and have the VX7000 phone, you need this special cable. I use it with BitPim too and it works great
