Ok i thought i got it. What folder do i put it in?

E:\Nokia\Sounds\Simple?
E:\Nokia\Sounds\Digital?
E:\Nokia\Sounds?
I put it in those folders and the ringer wont show up when i goto profiles and try to change it.

if you're using an n-gage original, make sure the file format is .wav, .mid, or mp3. if you're on QD, make sure it's either .wav or .mid

on MMC card, putting the tone into Sounds/Digital should make it come up in the profiles application while choosing a ringtone. it works on my 3660~

I'm using a QD. I put it in Sounds/Digital and it still does not show. Its a wav file. I know the wav file works as it worked when it was on the device memory.

just put it in sounds folder~

I am placing .mid files in E:\sounds\digital and they show up in profiles to select but, an error occurs when trying to play them.

ie: "error has ocurred".

Any idea what the issue could be?

Thanks

just put it in "sounds"

Alright,

I tried placing the files in all of the directories noted on this post.

No luck.

Is there a way to verify I really have the correct file format? My PC is reporting that they are .mid files. I downloaded the ringtones from one of the user based ngage websites (ngage-help, I think).

FExplorer reports unkown file type. Ngage composer either doesn't recognize them or, an error ocurrs trying to use them.

Thanks for any help.

strange...why dont u post mp3 ringtones instead? they are way better? (or are u using a QD? =P)

Posted by: moneypit

I am using QD.

Can someone post a link to a known working midi that Ican try.

I know there are a bunch out there, but if you have one that is known working on the QD, I can determine if it's a file format issue or the way I am trying to load it or, another issue (memory etc???)

Thanks
