Cmx Midi?

I saw alot of LG phones had their polyphonic ringtines as CMX MIDI; I couldnt find any info on that, but is that better/same than like a 16 chord capable polphonic phone? B/c I did notice my LX-6000 never produced... great ringtines. Thx!
