There's nothing wrong with Ebay. If people are paying $900 for something that is available elsewhere for $700 then there is a problem with the buyer.
I don't get how people can say they hate Ebay. Ebay is probably the best thing on the net.

difference between hate and not trusting... i dont trust it.

Tero 650 is more expensive in some other countries. Someone overseas might want it. Since it is not available there (yet). eBay might be the only way he/she can get it (NOW).
I have used eBay to purchase and once in awhile sell some of my stuff. It is not bad as long as I am careful.

Some of the people who list these phones don't really know much about the different kinds of networks the co.s use. I saw a phone on Ebay.. "unlocked" saying it worked with Tmobile, Cingular, Sprint & Verizon. I e-mailed her and told her that couldn't be due to the different systems Sprint & Verizon work off of compared to the others.... She was lol.... Oh i didn't know that....
False advertising will get you in trouble. lolol

LOL! As long as you are not retarded and know what you are getting, you should be fine. You do need to select Sellers with good and recent feedbacks. As long as you are careful, you should be OK.
I've made some purchases that were very good deals and some of the items I got were no longer available in the shops. eg. I was able to purchase a new Seeger Leather Wallet and a backpack from Australia. Seeger was bought by Montblanc years ago. Seeger was a Top Quality Leather Manufactuer from Germany. Seeger product was extremely well made and very expensive. I have been using Seeger leather goods for a long time, the only place I can find them is once in awhile on eBay.

I've been ripped on eBay a couple times. I bought a faceplate for my old Nokia about a year ago & never got it. Emailed the seller & was told they still hadn't recieved my payment 2 MONTHS LATER. I waited another month & tried to leave negative feedback, and lo & behold- the seller was no longer registered with eBay! It was only $7 but still...
Recently I ordered a silicone skin for my Treo & the item I got was not quite the one I ordered. Mine came with a big ugly belt clip knob on the back & the skin in auction picture had no knob. It wasn't a big deal, but I had to slice off the knob with an X-acto knife & now I have a big scar on the back of the case.
But, for the most part eBay is pretty cool, though you DO need to be careful.
$869 is outrageous for any phone though, those people are deluding themselves if they think anyone will pay that much...
