help with x70.. please

hello can somebody please give me some help with a question, my speaker has packed up, i know this is weird but if i give a tiny blow to the speaker on back of the phone it works, the phone is still under warranty and will be fixed free of charge. but they have told me that the phone will be flashed, and they said in doing this i might lose all my numbers in phonebook and pictures and ringtones, and i have pictures and tones and numbers i dont want to lose. so if they flash the phone will all my data be removed. i hope this is not the case, thanks for reading my thread hope someone can help me. thank you ian..
