Call Barring problem SMT5600 - help!

Here's the situation: I have a chick that is trying to call me. Most of the times she tries, my phone rings once then goes directly to voicemail. Happened several times from her cell and once today from her landline.

This hasn't happened yet with anybody else. Their calls keep ringing. Just this one person.

Because it's happened now from both her cell and landline, I'm thinking the problem is in my handset. So, I checked call barring and it has bar when roamed enabled. I don't know the password. Cingular couldn't give it to me. Where does one get this? I've tried 0000, the last 4 digits, my SIM PIN, 1111, 1234, all the likely 4-digit combinations. Nothing is working.

I went and got a new 64K SIM and it removed the "bar while roaming" from the incoming calls but left the bar international from the outgoing. But, I called Canada and it worked.

I have no explanation for this weirdness. Has anyone else had a handset which would ring and then essentially drop the call spontaneously? This has happened 4/5 times from this one caller.

And, who has the call barring password?

I'm having similar trouble and thought it may be the call barring. I don't know why they would have phones that already bar calls when roaming, maybe that doesn't really mean what I think it means.See if this could be your problem too. I just figured out that the reason my phone goes to voice mail when somebody calls sometimes is because I accidentally press the darn soft key that says reject call when I'm removing my phone from it's leather case. I'm going to try to retask that soft key and just use the end call key for rejecting calls when I need to. If this fits your situation, and if you figure out the answer before I do, please post back here.
