If anyone can help...

I recently purchased a new p900 from the UK.
(i live in the U.S.)
I've gone through all the options to check any locks(scroll down, *,*, scroll down)
& everything on the phone is unlocked.

the problem is that it won't connect to any of the GSM networks. the 1900 MHz is in my area, which the p900 supports.
I also called cingular and they added the IMEI number to my sim card. still no signal.

I can still use all of the other features(that don't require a network) but what's a pda phone without the use of the phone?!?!

I recall there is an "aircraft" mode on the P900. It does not turn on the radio, but lets you use the PDA. Your not in that mode are you?

No, I'm familiar with that "mode" but the phone is set appropriately to work.

I'm going to go to the cingular store tomorrow. maybe I can divert the sales rep and get access to their computers... seems to be the only way to get anything done in there.

First off you have my deepest sympathy dealing with US providers (is it cingular or AT&T these days, that whole deal has me confuesd?).
I'm not sure how you can not be familiar with the mode of the phone, whenever mine starts up it asks if you want flight mode, phone or help - if you are in flight mode it would explain a lot,
I'm just trying to setup a P900 my Dad bought on eBay, but it's locked to a UK provider we don't want to use (TMobile) - need NSCK code, I guess I have to call TMobile with IMEI and pay £30?
Although I have a feeling they'll refuse to even talk to me, not being a customer of theirs.

Guys I have a similar problem, and I don't know how to fix it

I have my P910 from orange proovider in the UK.

I can't use this mobile with other networks when I travel in the middle east. Is there any way to unlock this "network lock" as the repairman said?

As long as the handset isn't within a 12 month contract arrangement orange should unlock it for you with no problems for about £30. Alternatively you could look around local independant phone dealers, this forums trade section, google or eBay to find someone that can help you unlock oyur handset.
Given my own experience with this particular type of phone I would actually urge the first option, if you can find someone near you that knows this handset well. Networks have a bad habit of crippling/customizing the firmware such that even if you unlock to use another SIM they still lock you out from changing settings like data/WAP account and the startup shutdown logos etc.
I got my P900 flashed with P910 firmware as the guy couldn't get hold of a P900 file, not that I'm complaining
