MM-7400 Problem w/ BitPim.

I tried to connect the phone, it picks it up, all the drivers and everything. BitPim only reads the phonebook. Looking at all the wallpapers, and ringtones results in a hault in the program that is preceeded by a long scan.
Are there any other programs like BitPim, or any solution to this problem? Thanks in advance for any help.

I have the 7400 too, and Bitpim works, but it's kind of screwy. I do recommend; however, that you go to futuredial.com and download the new drivers for Sanyo phones. The driver is a Futuredial version driver, not a Sanyo one like they used to.

Warning: I = NoOB
Am i stupid? I always thought that the futuredial cable was a different cable than the one you can get from sanyo! Does it work with bitpim then...?!

mmk, i gues you can. thats cool, but it wont let me upload wallpapers or anything. I get an error for most of the things i try to do, and it still gives me hell.
Side note, anyone know if SnapMedia works better than bitpim?
and another side note, why does futuredial.com say Mm7400 doesnt work with SnapDialer, when it does..?

If you have a 12-digit serial and snapmedia, it won't install the update propperly from the web; you need to have them send you a new disk and 16-digit serial for it to work with the 7400 (and 8200 for that matter.) But, it will only put stuff the the PC Sync area which maxes out at like 8 files or something stupid. The web-based 'uploader' is better, I'm just going to use that.

I am trying to use handset manager 8.0 and it doesn't even see the phone.try sanyos drivers and 8200 drvs nothing . I've heard you can tell it. thats its an 8200 in bitpim but what about handset manager, theres no drivers for the 7400 but 8200 there everywhere it kinda sucks

Are we still talking about the Sanyo MM-7400?
You don't need to fool Bitpim for the 7400; it has support for the 7400. All you have to do is select it from the list (look twice, it's not where you'd think it would be). Also, make sure you have the newest Bitpim version.
As far as drivers for the 7400; you can download them from FutureDial's website. The Sanyo drivers are no longer available on the web as far as I could see, but it doesn't matter anyway because they don't support anything later than the 4900. The FutureDial drivers for 'Sanyo Phones' will support SnapMedia, SnapSync, SnapDialer, shows phone as modem, and BitPim's latest version (and probably others, but are untested by me).
I don't know what the handset manager 8.0 thingy is but if it is a retail software and it says it supports your phone; you need to get the drivers from them. If the handset manager 8.0 is the same as here: http://www.fonefunshop.co.uk/infrared/infrared.htm; then it doesn't even support Sanyo phones; and it looks like its for IR communication not through the data cable.
You do have the cable right, McFly?
