they should probably all work - as far as i know - they dont have dual voltage mini sd's or anything like that at all - but dont quote me on that...

btw - how do you like that phone? i was actually thinking about getting one of those - they look sharp...

any chance of you posting some live pictures of it?

I would LOVE to post some pics
but I just got it for a week, and I don't know how to transfer it from the phone to pc, the cd-rom was just for syncho purpose.
Or maybe I was just dumb, still trying to figure it out.

Overall, phone is really nice
Screen, one word: Excellent
Very user friendly, some minor designs I don't like, well due to the fact that I used to use a SE phone, so that doesn't count as a drawback, just a matter of habit.

Voice is clear, loud.
Size is an issue though
I am a 6 feet tall guy, so I don't have problem with it.
For some small hands, it would be affected.

I am still looking for a mini-SD, it doesn't come with any in my package. It would be perfect once I get it.

I would give a 9/10

I just mentioned some points in general, since I just got it not long time ago.. forgive me for not giving a full detailed review

oh no - thats totally cool - i was actually looking for an overall overview...

and i was actually looking for some pictures of the actual phone itself...like just views from different angles and stuff...

Totoro,
Just a quick question on this phone. You mentioned you bought it in HK. Was wondering how much you paid for it and is it unlocked? My GF happens to be in HK on a business trip this week. Maybe I can have her stop by a cell phone shop and pick one up for me. If you could get me the address of the shop and phone number. Thanks alot and I appreciate your help.

Peter, I would say most of the shop in HK will carry the Sagem x-8, price wise, it is around HKD$4080~ which include a 128mb sd card...

Totoro, I saw you came from Montreal, I'm just wondering, which service provider are you using? And how is the reception for the x-8? I'm in Toronto, I really love this phone, however, I'm still holding back myself for it being tri-band only...

MissPanda,
Thanks... With that price, I think I should be getting one soon then... I might hafta be her love slave for a while... hehehehe

If she is lucky, she might be able to find one that comes with lots of goodies~ (like BT headset, 256mb miniSD, card reader~)

Just want to give an update on this. She got me the phone. About $4000 HKD. It did not come w/ anything else. No, extra memory cards, BT, or car charger. I love this phone!!!!!!!!! Only drawback right now is the battery life. It is not last the 300hr standby. I did not use the phone that much and the battery only lasted 3days. I think this is due to the vibrate/ring option i used. I will try to use it w/o the vibrate and the difference.

hmm... it is probably those small shop that will give away more goodies~
3 days... considering the nice display, i think it is good enough~ haha~

I was thinking the same thing, 3 days is pretty good considering some of the features. It also depends on how much signal you had during those three days, you'd get better batter life with full signal than if you had little to no signal
