HIII i just bought a motorola A1000 and searching for softwares for it. Seems like there is not much software availbale for this UIQ device. I heard in many forums that say symbian UIQ phone have unlimited software available for it but i cant even find 1 good website to download software.

Any help is appreciated. Please post links on this thread regarding UIQ device software

I have just got rid of my A1000 (two weeks old) with this as one of the reasons. Unless you have generic firmware on there, in the UK it is a 3 phone and everything is geared to 3's services. Most software won't install and when it does, it can't be installed on the Trasflash memory card. Setting up MMS, Internet and GPRS for any other provider other than 3 is a nightmare or can't be done and to cap it all, if it freezes, I was told there is no hard reset, it has to go back to 3 or Motorola for resetting. The PDA side is okay but the phone side is not.
I wonder why I went back to a P900?? Answers on a postcard to..............

True to that but mine is an unlocked version means its just the phone without the 3 softwares. Really no applications and software for this phone. Compared with my O2 Mini and p910i lol. Still hoping more software for this phone.
By the way does the A1000 hang often? I heard many comments in the forums saying how bad if it after the phone crashes. But anybody knows the main reason for crashing and hanging?

By the way my A1000 still contains 0 aplications!!

please anyone post some sites for just "some" applicationss.

Don't know where you are but try the 3G forum in the UK - www.3G.co.uk
This is quite a useful website as there is a section on the A1000 there where they talk all about applications, crashing etc.
