Hi,
Is there anyone who could tell me if I can program a new bell phone from their website? I know telus lets you do it for $10, if you do it on thier website. Just wondering if bell has anything similar to that? Thanks

not to my knowledge.. if it's just programming the phone, CS could help you out, but if you need to do an esn change as well, then best to go into a Bell store or if you're lucky, CS/acquisitions could help you out(althought CS doesn't have esn change previliges..)

thanks for your reply....I guess I have no choice but to pay the $35 and activate it..

What $35? There is no activation fee on most Bell plans right now. If you take it to a store, they will charge you $15 to program it, and that's it.

Wirelessly posted (Nokia 6225 : NOKIA-RH-27/V H125V1700.nep.0 UP.Browser/6.2.2.1.c.1.102 (GUI) MMP/2.0)

Didn't it used to be $35? $15 is much better, imo.

15$ transfer fee will cover everything, unless you're upgrading your phone with an exception note. But for any other regular line transfer or regular upgrade with no exception notes, it is only 15$.

I can't believe they brought the hardware upgrade fee back from $0 to $15.

I got them to wave the $35 fee the last time so hopefully they will do the same for a $15 fee. Now only if Bell had some decent phones to upgrade to...

No, they won't waive the $15 fee. And it's charged in store.

the $15 is charged in the store, but not all stores cahrge, when I went to the store here they didnt' charge me anything, I was changing to a used phone I bought of ebay, and I even told the girl at the store that, and she said no problem, and no charge, it took her all of 3 mins to do.. but even for $15 thats cheap,, better then it used to be years ago when BM charged some fee and the stores maybe charged you..

All stores are suppose to charge it, we can't waive the upgrade fee anymore.

What if I program the phone myself (an easy matter I'm quite capable of with my unlocked phone)? Will the store still charge to do the second part, updating the ESN associated with the account at their computer terminal?
