Replacement Model for Mpx220 rumor?

I'm sill very partial to the styling and the abilities of this Mpx220 but I still haven't purchased one (yet?? don't know just yet). Love the OS, it still appeals to me better than symbian (even though Nokia 6620 does have EDGE data speeds).

Now last July 04 a read on a site (thinking it was mobile-review.com in english) that somebody mentioned its replacement would be the Mpx260.....is this rumor or not? Anything in the rumor mill for the upcoming Smartphone Summit in 2 weeks; Moto is going to be there.

* supposedly larger external screen, EDGE radio along with GPRS are the major upgrades rumored, but I haven't seen anything since.

Does anyone know??

The mpx260 display 2.8 QVGA and 16 bit touchscreen,320x240 pixels, and external multifunction display.
PS Maybe they making or they have it right now!

Touchscreen? QWERTY keyboard? If that's true, however unlikely, it would be exactly what I've been looking/waiting for. (That being, a dual-function phone/PDA that's not too huge to actually use as a phone.)

Yep (sans- keyboard) thats the one I was talking about. didn't think it would be scrapped. Guessing Moto is going the PPC PE route a la MPX.

thanks again guys. anyone else on more info for a Smartphone Edition from Motorola in the rumor works?

Also Andreo not sure when that thread was posted couldn't find any dates their related to the posters. Good find anyway.
