What movie were you watching buddy no one had a SK2! They only had the CSK and I heard that the SK2 wasn't even out when that movie was filmed.

Saw the last movie and he's right. Everyone had a SK2.

I saw Derek Jeter at the restaruant that I work in 9 months ago and he was using a SK2 even back then.

I saw the movie, and since I'm inches away from getting one, I was drooling everytime I saw the SKII.

Both were in the movie, some characters had SK's and some had SKII's. T-Mobile had a HUGE marketing spot in that film, NO DOUBT.

Interesting.....I wonder if they went 4 days without service in the movie?

Save your money and stick with a normal phone.

The outage isn't that much of a concern to me at the moment. Even though I don't have a Sidekick yet, not having GPRS for 4 days wouldn't bother me. I'm using my backup phone now, and the only GPRS I've used is to do something to pass time before I went to bed, so it's like I was part of the outage too, anyway.

I really like the idea of always being connected, and if that means suffering potential outages every once in a while, so be it.

JonnyBruha,

Trust me if you had one and were paying for it you would feel differently. I dont use it as a phone its purely used for email aol yahoo etc. I pay for it and it hasnt worked for 4 days and going on 5. I am not even mad anymore because I am laughing at this whole thing. I dont care who I see sporting one of these things I will still be laughing. It can be in a movie like "be cool" it can be sported by Chuck Liddell on Ultimate Fighter and it can be sported by Jesse James on Monster Garage I dont care. None of that nonsense makes this device work like it is supposed to and right now it aint working like it is supposed to. If you still want one good luck to you. Its cool when it works and sucks when it doesnt either way you are still paying for it.

Well, the phone and text still works when GPRS is down right? Then no big deal to me.

In fact, the way my plan is set up, I SAVE 96 cents on my plan with the Sidekick deal.

Either way, I'm getting it for $250. If I turn around and don't like it, I'll do what I've done with all my past phones: sell it and turn a profit for the full price.

I appreciate you warning me based on your current experiences, but I fear that based on the fact that I haven't had my own, I'll still end up getting one anyway.

I totally hear ya on giving it a shot on your own. Thats what I did and now I am at this point. I will be selling mine soon.

I was wondering if anyone would post about this... that was some of the most blatant product placement that I have ever seen...

not to mention that the movie was a disaster
