Wirelessly posted (Supersmart i860: MOT-A-1C/01.01 UP.Browser/7.0.0.2.c.1.104 (GUI) MMP/2.0 UP.Link/5.1.2.12)

U have to webjal it back 2 your phone. The new jad file will have the new pic. Once u load the new jad you have 2 go 2 the app on your phone/ hold the menu button/ then select update. At motospeak.com is the best thread 4 the app.

You have to create the .jar and .jad files on your PC, with the pictures you want to use before you download it to your phone. The pics get built into the .jar file. Once they are generated, you download that, just like any other java program, to your phone. Install/update it and then run it. Within the program it will give you can choose which of the pics, you included in the .jar file, to use as a background.

If you want to use other pics, you must go and recreate the .jar/.jad files all over again, on your PC, to include the new pics.

This is why he says to try to limit it to 3 or 4 pics because otherwise it makes the .jar file quite large.

so every time u want to upload new pics once you create the jar.+jad. file you must update the wallpaper apps or re-install it again? where in fact do you go on the i860 to update apps? sorry for asking what you may think to be a dumb question

Yes everytime you want to change the external pic you have to deinstall the app from your phone then reinstall it with the new picture. Same as the first time you put it on your phone.

i had a feeling this was the case...i just never tried deinstall and install it again. i thought " naw i dont think so " now i definately get it...what a breeze. thanx a lot for your help

well you dont have to deinstall, you can load the new jad, goto the java apps screen, scroll to the extwall and hit menu, goto update and it updates the app

when i put the new picture, and loaded it up, it told me if i wanted to update or deinstall. so i updated it.

there is no jad fiel in the external wallpaper program somebody please post the jad fiel for it or email it to me please at noesan@hvc.rr.com

Posted by: new_york_rican

file i meant in the zip sorry lol

Posted by: NewYorkYanks6

thats because you have to generate it...you have to open the app (the green icon once u unzip the program) add the new wallpapers (96x65 PNG) and then click generate wal, jar, jad...then load that jad into Jal and POOF the external wallpaper app is on the phone, then all u have to do is install and run the app!
